Wer Hexenverfolgung für ein mittelalterliches Phänomen hält, der irrt. Mindestens 100.000 Frauen und Kinder wurden seit 1960 in Afrika wegen Hexerei getötet. Hexen, so der afrikanische Glaube, sind Schuld an Krankheiten, persönlichem Unglück, Aids, Epidemien und ökonomischem Misserfolg.

Project IDIA provides young women in challanging situations, especially victims of trafficking with alternative possibilities to empower themselves through handskill acquisition training and mentoring programm. Soley aimed to empower our self-employed designers - IDIA Designers, this project provides an atmosphere for them to individualy  develop thier creative ability. JEL - Joadre Empowerment Label owns a small working studio just next to NGO EXITs office. The Studio is dedicated to the women twice weekly. They are guided by a multilinguar team of coaches and creative minds. Our vision is to economically empower women in challanging situation. Every new participant we admit, every new design and technique a participant needs to learn, standard training facilities, work tools, dedicated personel and more, means additional cost and resource management for Ngo EXIT. It was much fun walking through these woods, taking notice of every detail. I never took a walk in the forest when I was in Nigeria. Now I regret not to have, as I missed all the beauty and peace one could find in nature. Anyway, I look forward to my next adventure, if the weather allows of course :-)

The female Salvatorians and St. Josef hospital in Vienna organized a charity concert for EXIT. It was Amazing to hear all these foreign songs from Africa, Asia, Latin America. I loved it. Ups, I even managed to rhyme "O Happy Day" with the choir leader. There is a CD on sale, so you can get all the songs there too. just write u. Here is a link

 
 
An amazing Event held on the 9. of march by Zonta club city Wien to honour our work and raise funds. Delegates representing the Nigerian Embassy in Vienna were present to aknowledge the Event and the wonderful classic musik performace. The money raised is assisting us hold 3 months therapy through handwork for 5 women. Also aids our current legal case for a survivor of trafficking. Once again big thank you to Zonta club Vienna city.

Joana Adesuwa Reiterer, the founder of NGO EXIT was honored with the "Ubuntu Award 2012" in the category African community engagement at the African Spring ball on the 23rd of march.
